Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that on October 2, in celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, Bhoomi-Pujan and dedication of development projects worth Rs 685 crore will take place across the state under the Swachh Bharat and Amrut Yojana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually participate in the Swachhta Diwas (Cleanliness Day) programme.
Dr. Yadav praised the enthusiasm shown by the people of the state during the Campaign, calling their participation commendable. The programme, scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 2 at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center, will also be attended by Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Smt. Krishna Gaur, Minister of State for Urban Development Smt. Pratima Bagri, MP Bhopal Alok Sharma, MLAs Rameshwar Sharma, Bhagwandas Sabnani, Vishnu Khatri, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, and Chairman of Municipal Corporation Shri Kishan Suryavanshi.
Rs 69 lakh 42 thousand to be deposited into the accounts of 2314 Safai Mitras
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will transfer Rs 69.42 lakh to 2,314 Safai Mitras of Ujjain with a single click, in recognition of Ujjain Municipal Corporation's achievement of a three-star rating in the Cleanliness Survey-2022. Under this initiative, each Safai Mitra will receive an incentive of Rs 3,000. Dr. Yadav will also honor the Chief Municipal Officers who have excelled in the Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign. Additionally, the Chief Minister will dedicate equipment and development projects worth Rs 43.39 crore for Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
Bhoomi-Pujan and dedication of projects
Dedication of sewerage scheme worth Rs. 299.20 crore of Sagar urban body, water supply scheme worth Rs. 61.17 crore of Seoni-Malwa urban body and water supply scheme worth Rs. 75.34 crore of Chhindwara urban body will be done virtually. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will perform Bhoomi Pujan of sewerage and water supply projects in 19 urban bodies of the state.
These include sewerage project of Vidisha worth Rs 19.90 crore, Shajapur worth Rs 15.75 crore, Shahpur worth Rs 12.40 crore, Shahgarh worth Rs 13.05 crore, Raun worth Rs 11.91 crore, Pithampur worth Rs 24.58 crore, Mhow Cantt worth Rs 40.30 crore, Dola worth Rs 10.67 crore, Damoh worth Rs 12.52 crore, Bargawan (Amalai) worth Rs 22.55 crore and Banda worth Rs 10.16 crore, Bistan worth Rs 31.71 crore, Satwas worth Rs 3.09 crore, Namli worth Rs 3.10 crore, Suwasra worth Rs 3.15 crore, Barod worth Rs 3.20 crore, Ratangarh worth Rs 3.22 crore, Piploda worth Rs 3.92 crore and Kannaud's Rs. 3.97 crore water supply scheme will be dedicated. On this occasion, films focused on the work being done for the upliftment of cows and the Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign will also be screened.
