Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today traveled by road from Jabalpur to Balaghat via Seoni to take stock of the situation arising out of excessive rainfall in the state. He inspected the rain-affected areas. The Chief Minister directed the administrative officials to make adequate protective arrangements for the people and animals affected by excessive rains.
He said farmers and common citizens affected by excessive rainfall will be compensated per the rules. During his journey by road, the Chief Minister was welcomed in every village by people of all sections along with public representatives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed and addressed the people's on the way.
He said that Seoni-Balaghat road will soon be made four lane. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gifted the public the construction of a new building of Kurrai College and the construction of a model road with a divider in the urban area of Barghat.

When Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached village Banjari located on the Seoni-Jabalpur border from Jabalpur by road, he was welcomed by local public representatives including MLA Barghat Shri Kamal Marskole, District Panchayat President Smt. Malti Dehariya and senior District officers. On the way from village Banjari to Seoni, women tied rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in Nagandevri, Lakhnadon, Ganeshganj, Chhapara, and Bandol. He congratulated the sisters on Raksha Bandhan and Krishna Janmashtami.
Instructions given to officials after observing the backwater area of the Bhimgarh Dam
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stopped the vehicle on the bridge of the Bainganga river located in Chhapara tehsil in Seoni district and offered prayers and flowers at the Bainganga river. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspected the backwater of Bhimgarh Dam and took stock of the flood situation caused by excessive rainfall on July 22. He sought information regarding water logging areas and affected villages during heavy rains and directed Collector Sushri Sanskriti Jain to make necessary arrangements.
I will never forget the love of the sisters of Seoni district
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was greeted by the city residents at Seoni district headquarters. He said that the state government is celebrating festivals with sisters throughout August. Many important decisions have been taken by the government in the favour of women's empowerment. He informed that the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated in the state on August 10.
On this occasion, in addition to the amount of Rs 1250 per month given to the Ladli Behnas of the state, an amount of Rs 250 is being additionally transferred to their bank accounts for Raksha Bandhan so that they can celebrate the festival with full enthusiasm. He said that on August 10, grand events will be organized village-wise, ward-wise, body-wise, and district-wise. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that he will always cherish the love of the sisters of Seoni district in his memory.
Model road with divider will be built in Barghat
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed the officials to immediately repair the potholes on the Seoni-Balaghat road. He announced that the Seoni-Balaghat state road will be made four lane after testing. He announced the construction of a new college building in Kurai and a model road with dividers in the urban area of Barghat.
